It's one of those days where all I want to do is curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch movies all day. This weather (cold and rainy) is perfect for warm comfort food. Ready for Fall

I think I am finally ready for fall. It was a great summer, but I'm looking forward to pulling out my sweaters, boots and wearing cute fall outfits. Here's to shorter days and hearty meals!

Explore Oregon

Portland Monthly has done it again! I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that whenever I read the magazine, I am inspired to get out, and explore the lovely city of Portland. Well, this month, they feature 30 of the lesser-known locations within Oregon that should not be missed. From the relaxing emptiness of southeastern Oregon to the calm and quiet Oregon Coast, there are many parts of Oregon to explore! Reading the magazine made me realize that I need to get out more and explore Oregon, beyond my little bubble of Portland. I feel that I am finally at that age where I can enjoy and appreciate beautiful scenery. And it's just the right time to explore.

The issue truly captures the beauty and naturalness of Oregon.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies

I have tomorrow (Friday) off, which means I have a much needed 3-day weekend and I CANNOT wait. I'm planning on baking these Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies. A mixture of cookies and brownies- yummy!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! How was the weekend? Mine was quite relaxing. I spent Friday night with my girlfriends, Saturday with my family and Sunday was filled with errands and ended with a celebration for one of my bestest friend's at OBA! If you've never been to OBA, you must go now! It is that good and their happy hour is even better- great food and perfect drinks!

Cupcakes

I've been craving sweet, fluffy, no good for you cupcakes. You know, the kind that melts in your mouth and you just want another and another and another..Portland and Seattle have a couple cupcake bakery's that I've been dying to try, Trophy Cupcakes and Saint Cupcakes.

Trophy Cupcakes, located in Seattle, is known to be one of the best. They have unique flavors such as, Chocolate Graham Cracker, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Chip Mint, and so many more! Saint Cupcakes, located in Portland, is absolutely one of a kind. They offer multiple different flavors, topped with mounds of icing, hot fudge, or frosting. They even offer vegan cupcakes in different flavors: chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, carrot and so, so many more!

A new trend in the wedding world I've been seeing lately is having cupcakes instead of cakes. You can have multiple different flavors of cupcakes, and the bakery will arrange them in such a lovely way.

You've got to try these cupcakes...YUM!

One of Those Days

Today is definitely one of those days. I just can't shake this feeling. Perhaps it's the gloomy weather, or just the fact that I went to bed late. But whatever it is, I hope it passes sooner than later.

Fall Colors

I love to have polished nails, and as much as I love having bright hued nails of purple, pink and orange during the summer, sometimes I need a break and want something basic. I've been in search of a color to wear as we transition to fall and came across Glamour's top six fall nail colors: Midnight Blue, Deep Burnt Rust, Black, Cherry Red, Matte Nude, and Translucent Pink. I'll be trying all six this fall!

Gossip Girl

I'm a big fan of Gossip Girl and it's that much better when I get to enjoy the show with my girlfriends, drinking wine, eating cheese and crackers and gossiping during commericals! The season premier was last night and I cant wait for the rest of the season!

Happy {Wedding} Weekend!

Finally.. the sweet weekend has arrived! Josh and I are off to his cousins wedding on Saturday, which I'm anticipating to be the wedding of the year! We went to the rehearsal dinner last night and I got goosebumps just being at the venue. It was so beautiful. The flowers, lanterns, lights from the city, and the view was just breathtaking, but, perhaps I'm a little bias since I love everything about all weddings. I just can't wait!

I found the perfect BCBG dress for the wedding and I'm thrilled to hear that it will be in the 90's this weekend!

I've been in search of the perfect boyfriend blazer for the longest time and haven't been able to find the right one. It's just the item I need for my fall outfits. I came across Emily's blog, Cupcakes and Cashmere (one of my fav's!) and couldn't believe the bargain she found. Be sure to check out how cute her outfit looked with the blazer,boyfriend jeans and heels. The necessary objects blazer is definitely worth the $64- I'l' definitely be purchasing one!

Exhausted

It's definitely one of those weeks. Exhausting, busy and stressful. Can it just be the weekend already...

Cinnamon bun scones-delicious!

I came across this recipe on the Bake or Break blog, and couldn't resist not to try it. The recipe seemed simple enough- a quick mix of ingredients and you're set. The prep time takes about 5-10 minutes, and the recommended baking time is 11-13 minutes, and within 30 minutes you have warm and delicious, cinnamon scones. This was my first time at scone making, and at this rate, I'd say, I'm on the path to success in scone making-the final product was mouthwatering!

Make these as soon as possible, you won't regret it! They are that good.
